In just the last year, several restaurants, specialty shops and a social lounge have opened their doors here in Comfort. Fajita Street has all of your favorite Mexican dishes such as sizzling fajitas, enormous quesadillas, smothered burritos and crispy tacos made to perfection. You'll also find some American fare on the menu, including juicy burgers and spicy Buffalo wings. Fajita Street opens early every morning for breakfast, where you can start your day with a breakfast taquito, omelet or towering stack of pancakes.
Bella Sera │ 429 Front St., Comfort, TX
At Bella Sera, you'll enjoy authentic Italian homemade pasta dishes that will make your heart sing and your stomach smile. Manicotti, lasagna and eggplant parmesan plus hearty paninis, pizzas and fresh salads are just some of the delicious items you'll find on the menu. It's a great place to relax and unwind in the company of friends, even the ones you just met at Remedy Hall. Live music every Saturday night features some of the best local talent playing country, bluegrass, rock and more. Take a turn at the mic yourself with karaoke on select Thursdays, or grab a paddle from the bar and try out the new pickleball court.

From the moment you walk through the doors of the Freethinkers General Store, you'll be struck by the owner's passion for design. From clothing and accessories to beauty products, paper goods and gifts, every piece in this creative store has been thoughtfully selected to captivate and inspire. Many of the brands carried at Freethinkers are made right here in Texas. The store embraces Comfort's history by taking its name from a group of German intellectuals who emigrated here in the mid-1800s.
The Peachy Llama │ 804 High St., Suite A, Comfort, TX
The Peachy Llama features the handcrafted work of two local artisans who've joined forces to open this specialty retail shop. One is an experienced woodworker who specializes in charcuterie boards, cutting boards and cornhole games, while the other is a designer who specializes in laser engraving, custom ball caps and tumblers. They've brought their creative talents together in one fun marketplace.
