Of course, you can always hike to the top of Enchanted Rock, and the Summit Trail will take you there. This moderately challenging trek rewards hikers with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, making it a must-do for anyone visiting the park. After reaching the summit, look for rare vernal pools that are home to delicate fairy shrimp and rock quillwort.
Including Summit Trail, there are a total of 11 miles of hiking trails throughout Enchanted Rock Natural Area. The Interpretive Loop Trail is an easy trek that provides an up-close look at many special plants and animals that live near the base of Little Rock.
