One of our most cherished holiday events, Christmas in Comfort is the perfect way to kick off the season of joy and light. Held each year in Comfort’s historic downtown district on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, this festive celebration transforms the town into a winter wonderland. Christmas in Comfort, now in its 38th year, is a full day of holiday magic from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., filled with everything from artisanal shopping to lively performances, ending with a stunning parade and fireworks display.
Start your day with a shopping adventure along Comfort’s charming High and Seventh streets. With over 130 art, craft, and food vendors, there’s something special for everyone on your list—and maybe a treat or two for yourself. While you’re browsing, don’t forget to pop into Comfort’s unique boutiques and antique shops, brimming with treasures that capture the spirit of the season.
Foodies will love the variety of options, from festive food and drink stands to Comfort’s popular eateries and wineries, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal. Adding to the festive vibe, live music fills the air all day long. Talented musicians and bands will be performing holiday classics and other favorites, adding a soundtrack to your Christmas shopping spree.
As evening falls, Comfort really lights up—literally! Strings of lights line the streets and wrap the trees, creating a warm and cozy holiday glow. At 7 p.m., the Lighted Night Parade kicks off with over 150 floats, each uniquely decorated to bring a little more holiday cheer. And, of course, Santa and his team close the parade with a grand entrance, setting the stage for the evening’s finale: a magical fireworks display lighting up the night sky.
